The Venom GT is created from a base Lotus Elise / Exige and utilizes components including but not limited to the roof, doors, side glass, windscreen, dash, cockpit, floorpan, HVAC system, wiper and headlights. Hennessey Performance and the Venom GT are not associated with Lotus Cars.
The Venom GT's base power plant is the supercharged 6.2 liter LS9 V8 (the same as in the Corvette ZR1) tweaked by Hennessey to 725 bhp. The company will also be offering 1000 bhp and 1200 bhp twin turbo V8 engine variants.
It features a 3.0-liter John Hartley-designed V8 power plant that's good for 500 horses with carbon fiber body panels. Its wheels are Dymag magnesium, and has chromoly aerofoil wishbones and Alcon four-piston brake calipers. 18 2016 Hennessey Venom GT Spyder (0-60 mph 2.4 Seconds)

Everything ahead of the front windscreen is new, as is everything behind the rear bulkhead, so what’s left in the middle is the basic Exige tub, which is then strengthened.
